    
    
MONTANAJuly 23 - 27 Location (tentative): Big Snowy Mountains near Lewistown, MT. This is near the center of the state. Google Earth coordinates: 46 44’ 28.49” N, 109 17’09.22 W We will be attempting to fly from the Big Snowy Mountains for the first time. This meet is in conjunction with the Montana State Record Encampment, and so we will be trying to fly as far as possible downwind. The current state record is 125 miles. There will be at least one and potentially three or four hydraulic payout winches available to tow out of the nearby flatlands if the mountains don’t work. We will be pioneering both the mountain launches and the flatland tow roads as well as the flying potential. For this reason the dates have been extended on both ends of the weekend.
